PAT Testing & Emergency Light Testing

PAT Testing & LightingAM Fire Safety & Testing engineers will perform a visual inspection of your appliances, and an in-depth check using our PAT testing equipment. This test includes earth continuity, lead polarity, and insulation resistance checks. We use the latest Smart PAT Testing equipment for all of our tests and all tests are recorded via our app which generates a report of all tests.

Once tested and deemed safe we will apply a PASS sticker to the appliance. This sticker displays the date when the last test was conducted, the date when the next test is required, the engineer’s name.

We will provide you with a certificate of compliance and keep a record  to contact you when your next inspection is due.

Did you know that 25% of all reportable electrical accidents involve portable appliances? There is a legal responsibility on employers to comply with The Electricity at Work Regulations, which requires that any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is regularly maintained and inspected.

Emergency Light Testing

Emergency Lighting is lighting for an emergency situation when the main power supply is cut and any normal illumination fails due to a fire or power cut. Emergency lighting will provide light to allow occupants to evacuate in the case of fire or from panic or tripping over and subsequent injury. Emergency Lighting is covered by BS5266 and daily, monthly and annual programmes of maintenance and checks should be carried out by simulating a failure and documenting that the system is maintained and meets British Standards.
